You Will Live Out What You Believe You Are

If you believe you are worthless, you will live out that kind of life. If you believe you are a creation of God, created unto good works, you will experience God’s work being lived out through your life. The devil is a master planner. He has taken God’s people and lied to them so well that they actually believe they are something they are not, and they live out what they believe.

Have you ever gone to a hypnotist’s show? The hypnotist tells people they are something that they are not. While a person is under hypnosis, he or she begins to live out what the hypnotist tells them. For instance, he might say "you are a chicken"; and the person begins acting like a chicken. To a certain degree, every one of us has been hypnotized by satan. We have been told over and over what we are not to such a degree that we live out satan’s plan instead of God’s.

When Jesus walked on this earth, He was never put under satan’s spell. Why? It is because Jesus was and still is the complete TRUTH! In John 8:15-18, Jesus tells the scribes and Pharisees,

Ye judge after the flesh. I judge no man. And yet if I judge my judgment is true. For I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.”

Jesus knew who He was, because He listened to His Father’s Words. We will live out what we believe we are. The devil wants to tell Christians that they are sinners, because he knows they don’t have power over sin until they identify with their new-creation life. We hear many preachers telling born-again Christians that they are something the Bible tells them they are not. Let us turn to the scriptures to teach us what God says we are: in Ephesians 1:3, God tells me I’m blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ; Ephesians 1:4 says I’m chosen in Jesus, and I’m holy and unblameable before Him in love; Ephesians 1:5 says I’m adopted by Jesus Christ to God; Ephesians 1:6 says I’m accepted; Ephesians 1:7 says I’m redeemed through the blood; In Ephesians 2:5, God says I’m quickened or made alive together with Christ; Ephesians 2:6 says I’m raised up with Him; Ephesians 2:8 says I’m saved by grace through faith; Ephesians 2:10 says I’m His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works; Ephesians 2:13 says I’m made nigh by the blood of Jesus; Ephesians 2:19 says I’m a fellow citizen with the saints and of the household of God. In I John 3:1, John wrote,
“Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called sons of God.”

In I John 5:4 God tells me,

Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith.”

Once we begin learning what it is that God knows about us, and we believe it, we will carry it out in our manner of life. Remember, a person will never do what he doesn't believe he is. When you do something that is right, you believe you are right. If you do something wrong, you believe you’re wrong, but I John 2:29 says,

If ye know that he is righteous ye know that everyone that doeth righteousness is born of Him”

The devil must get us to believe a lie about ourselves so he can get us to do something that is wrong. Every Christian is right when he or she accepts Jesus. I must see myself as “right” and then I will live righteous. God has some awesome things for us to accomplish, but we must see ourselves accomplishing what God’s word says we can accomplish. You will live out what you BELIEVE!

I love you,

“Where Is Your Trust?”

Today, God will bring help into your life, if you trust in Him! I’ve wondered at times why people can’t receive from God. A key revelation to releasing God’s power in your life is trusting totally in Him as your security.

In II Chronicles 20:15, God told the people,

“…Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours but God’s.”

Then, in verse 17 He tells them,

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you.”

This is like Jesus fighting the battle against satan for us. So many Christians today do not learn to trust in God. I said learn! A person who trusts in God has learned to do so. This does not come overnight. Our natural tendency is to trust in and rely on what our five senses tell us. When we receive Jesus, we start learning how to trust in God. I believe one of the first lessons I received in trusting God was to make the Bible the final authority over my life. I determined that God was smarter than me. He is the only One Who is all knowing. The Bible is for my benefit, not His. It is in Him. I need the Bible to know what He knows.

In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were commanded to bow down and worship a graven image, or they would be thrown into a fiery furnace. They said in verses 16-18,

“…we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

Notice that these three Hebrew boys had determined in their heart not to trust in their power and ability. Their trust was in the Lord. In verse 25 the King said,

“Lo, I see four loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

This tells me that if you put your trust in God, Jesus will show up right on time. In the midst of your trouble, you can count on Jesus to be walking there with you.

Now, let’s go back to the learning process of trusting in God. You learn to trust God by stepping out on His Word. An example of this would be how many people skip paying their tithes because they are afraid. This fear causes them to rob God according to Malachi 3:8-10. God says that 10% of our money is actually His, while the remaining 90% is ours. When we take the 10% instead of tithing, then we cause ourselves to be cursed. Why don’t people tithe? Because they don’t trust God.

There are many things God wants to do for us. Today, take some actions based on the Word of God; and watch Him bless you. God wants to be your supply. You must give Jesus your life, to have His life. I love you,

Pastor Paul
