Praise God, we are entering the home stretch. I believe the church in this generation has been handed the responsibility of finishing the work that Jesus started. No longer can we stay behind our church walls and sing and preach, while we let the world go to hell.
As you can see, I am very stirred up. Jesus is giving last day commands to His church. From this time on, it is push, push, push! He will work with us with great signs and miracles, if we will go in faith and start reaping the harvest.
John 4:34-38 says, “Jesus said unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, one soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labour.”
I can see plainly how we have entered into another’s labor. There are thousands of people today who have heard the Word of God spoken to them by a relative, Sunday school teacher, fellow employee, etc. These people are contemplating giving their lives to God. All they need is for someone to invite them to church or to share with them their testimony.
I want you to read this letter and allow it to stir you into becoming a worker for God!
Jesus was sent to die on a cross, but He was also sent to teach His church how to become fishers of men. The most exciting time in a Christian’s life is when he or she is working for God. We are laborers with Him.
We have an eternal purpose. The life of a person goes beyond the physical body. I see hours and hours that a doctor works to save somebody physically. Millions of dollars are spent to sustain a temporary existence, never comprehending the life after. The devil hates anyone who works for the Lord. In fact, he places a lot of pressure on people to get them off of God’s plan for the world's salvation.
You are more than just a carpenter, secretary, teacher or banker. You are the answer for a hopeless mankind! Take some bold steps to allow your God to flow through you. Let me give you some principles to start motivating you into finishing Jesus’ work on the earth.
#1 Think about how Jesus has filled you with His Father’s Spirit.
#2 Recognize that the works Jesus did, you will do, because He has gone to His Father.
#3 No man or devil can stop you, because God lives in you.
#4 You are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
#5 You can stop eternal damnation for someone by sharing God’s Word.
Your life will never be the same as you start your work of winning the world to Jesus! Be encouraged today.
Christians should be believers, not doubters. When we give our lives to Jesus, we can stop walking in doubt and start walking in faith.
The word “doubt” in Webster’s dictionary means a feeling of uncertainty, to disbelieve, to distrust.
The first part of this definition, 'a feeling of uncertainty', allows doubt to creep in. We must check ourselves. If we feel uncertain about something, we must do something. We will stay uncertain, if we do not act. The first thing we must do with these feelings, is recognize that those feelings are not us. We are believers, not doubters.
Thoughts and feelings of uncertainty come from satan’s influence. I’ve found out if I say with my mouth, “I’ve caught you devil”, it wakes me up spiritually. The devil never wants you to recognize his presence. He wants you to think he is a thousand miles away from you. Next, I pull out my ‘spiritual gun’ and load it with scriptures from God’s Word. I aim and fire at the devil. When I speak the Word of God in faith, it goes out and drives the devil away from my life.
In James 4:7 James writes, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
This scripture verse will stop satan dead in his tracks. This is what I say to the devil when he tries to cause me to doubt God; “Devil, I’m speaking to you in Jesus’ Name. I am a born again Christian, filled with the Holy Ghost. Right now I speak to you James 4:7…I submit myself to God; and I resist you devil, and you must flee from me. Now, obey God’s Word and go in Jesus’ Name.”
Another way to remove doubt, is to meditate on God’s Word over and over again. The Word of God produces faith in you. Faith will simply put out the doubt.
Distrust was another definition of doubt. How do we remove distrust? When we find out that somebody is trustworthy; we begin to trust them, because we know them. We know their character (the totality of their behavior). The more we know God, the more we will trust Him. Can we trust God without completely knowing Him? Yes!
Proverbs 3:5-6 says,
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
We can trust God without completely knowing Him, by not leaning on our own understanding. We can learn God by trusting in His Word. Tell your mind to shut up and start speaking God’s Word in faith.
Faith in God is the most important subject in the Bible. I want to encourage you to study on the subject of faith, and watch God set your life in order and perform His Word in your life.
