“Confidence Produces Success”

In I John 5:14-15 we read;

“And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us; And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.”

Now, what is success? A good definition would be: to obtain a favorable outcome or desired result.

When we as believers pray, we should expect to obtain favorable outcomes and desired results. Too many Christians beg God and plead with God hoping that God might answer their prayer. They act like heaven is a casino and they throw up prayers like a roll of the dice hoping they get the lucky number. Or, they act like God is a game show host and they bargain and play “Let’s make a deal God.” Well, all of that is done because of a lack of knowledge or ignorance.

As children of God, I John 5:14-15 tells us that we can get in the presence of God the Father and expect to have our prayers answered, because we have prayed in line with God’s Word.

Confidence causes us to trust. In Proverbs 3:5-6 we read;

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

Confidence gives us assurance (God’s assurance) for God is not a man that He would lie. In Hebrews 10:23 we read;

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful that promised).”

Confidence gives us boldness to stand in the presence of God the Father.

In Hebrews 4:16 we read;

“Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.”

Today, I want you to know that God wants your life to be a success. He wants you to have confidence that when you pray, your prayers will be answered. God gave us the Word to put us over in life. He doesn’t want us overcome, He wants us to overcome. As we enter into a state of intimacy with God as Our Father, we can then begin to know how much He loves us. As God’s children, He wants us to receive a complete manifestation of every promise in His Word for our life. That means, total provision, prosperity, absolute health, well being, and deliverance from all oppression.

I want to encourage you that as you pray, do it with confidence and expect God the Father to answer your prayers. According to the Word of God, be it unto you. Amen.

Be encouraged,
